Established in Summer 2015 by Jamie and Tracy Kennard, Brunette is a pocket-sized wine bar in the historic waterfront district of downtown Kingston, NY where natural wine, beer, cider, food, and a true love for music prevail.
In 2019 Esquire magazine named Brunette to its Best Bars in America list. In April 2020, the bar was purchased by natty wine lovers Max Botwick and Jessie Harris. Brunette is very much a mom-and-pop establishment.

After falling in love with Kingston, longtime Philly residents Max and Jessie quit their respected hospitality jobs to purchase their favorite wine bar. Combined they bring 20+ years of specialty food and restaurant experience to 33 Broadway. They see Brunette as an extension of their home and nothing brings them more joy than to have you for drinks, snacks, dinner and coffee.
When not behind the bar, Max and Jessie spend as much time as possible with their daughter, Lavinia (Vini for short).
